Glide Shoe
The TW964 Glide Shoe is manufactured and distributed by ITW Alpine The Glide Shoe is a special application fixing, specifically designed to allow horizontal movement at the roof truss bearing without affecting the overall stability of the truss, whilst continuing to provide resistance to lateral and uplift forces. The product is suitable for a variety of applications and may normally be specified without further investigation for typical scissors or raised tie style domestic type construction. However, in all circumstances, the Roof Designer should satisfy themselves that the specification of the Glide Shoe is compatible with both the roof configuration and the supporting super-structure. Design Liability
ITW Alpine's objective is to provide its customers with software which specifies every aspect of the roof, wall and floor structure. The ITW Alpine fabricator is therefore relieved from the responsibility of ensuring that the fixings used are correctly accredited to British Standards and have design values appropriate to the use planned. ITW Alpine's software carefully matches loads and applications to the correct product which is then shown on drawings and listed & costed through the AiMS database.
